Reception - RG

 This week we put our wellies on and went outside for an autumn walk. We collected leaves of all shapes and sizes, sycamore seeds, pine cones and conkers. Then we sorted all the things we found into groups. We are very good at counting now. We had lots of fun painting and printing the leaves onto paper.  We are going to make an autumn display with all our printing.

 We had lots of fun today learning the nursery rhyme 'The Queen of Hearts' and making jam tarts!                                         We also sequenced the pictures of how to make jam tarts. In the afternoon we went out to the castle and ate our jam tarts. They were delicious!

  We have had a busy week again in RG.  We  learned  2 more letter sounds (a and t) and today we were very excited to write our first word! We sequenced the pictures from the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty and then we wrote the word 'sat'. We were very proud of ourselves and all our work has been displayed on our Humpty Board. We have also been practising our counting and we used a 5 frame to help us to do this. We enjoyed choosing and counting the different objects.
