Reception - RG

  We had lots of fun at Forest School this week exploring and building homes for the animals. We enjoyed getting muddy in the mud kitchen too! This week we have been reading and writing about the story  Noah's Ark. We made our own boats out of tin foil and then tested how many marbles would fit inside our boat before it sank.  The most was 70! In PE we have been taking part in the school sports competition with lots of games and races.

  This week we acted out the story of Rainbow Fish and then we made our own Rainbow Fish books.  This week in Maths we have been learning about odd and even numbers. We enjoyed feeling the numicon in the magic bag and deciding if it was odd or even before we pulled it out!  We were always right! In PE we were practicing underarm throwing with a large ball. We are very good at this now. So good we moved onto small balls which was a bit trickier!

 This week we have been learning how to share groups of objects equally between us.   We shared jelly beans  which was lots of fun and we were allowed to eat them at the end which was even more fun! Next week we will be learning about odd and even numbers. We have had lots of fun this week playing in the atrium and outside in the sunshine. Our Book of the Week is 'Rainbow Fish' and in Art this week we have making an under the sea collage.
