The Wonder Dome This week the Wonder Dome came to school to teach us all about space and the different planets in the solar system.  We went inside the dome and it was very dark,  just like being in space! We lay down on the floor and watched he most amazing show teaching us all about the different planets.  We loved it!  On Wednesday it was Stay and Play and we enjoyed having our mummies, daddies, grandmas and grandads  in our classroom.   We  showed them all our work and  the different activities we have to play with. It was lots of fun. In PE this week we played  in teams and  took  turns to throw a bean bag in the bucket. We also had to pass the baton on to the next person in our team.  Mr Thompson said we were very good at taking turns and passing the baton on without dropping it.

This week we have been learning the nursery rhyme 'The Queen of Hearts.'  We enjoyed acting out the rhyme, playing in the role play and making jam tarts.  The best part was eating them! In the construction area we have been building houses, kennels and castles with our new giant polydron.  We have built some amazing houses we can fit inside! In PE this week we were in teams playing  relay races.    We took turns and collected as many cones as we could. We were very good at counting how many we had. 

We have been learning the letter sounds - i,n,m and d this week. We really enjoyed making our own n ecklaces out of pasta. During Circle Time we talked to the class about our families and those who are special to us. We  also  drew a picture of our family. In PE we played relay races. Mr Thompson was very impressed with our turn taking and balancing skills. We have had lots of fun playing with the musical instrument stand and squashy blocks this week. We made some amazing houses, kennels and castles!
