Literacy and Numeracy this week in RG

 

If your child is isolating at home here are the following lessons and activities we are doing in class this week.

Literacy

This week we are learning the letters 'e' and 'u'.

Here are the phonics sheets to practice letter formation.

Also practice letter formation using the laminated alphabet mat sent home at the beginning of term.

Practice counting to 20 every day.

We are learning to add 2 numbers together eg 1+1=, 2+2=

Use different objects you find at home to add together and use the language 'one add one equals'.

Get Creative

Use paper, different colours of paint and marbles to make your own firework picture.

Put the paper on a tray and squeeze some different coloured paint on to the paper.

Put 4 marbles on to the paper and tip the tray so the marbles roll over the paint.

Watch the marbles mix the colours together and create an amazing firework picture.

Design Technology

Use junk materials to make your own  3D firework rocket.

Talk about the 3D shape names - cylinder, cone.
