This Week in RG

 

Our story this week is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle.  We sequenced the pictures from the story and we used the book to help us. 







We have been practising our tricky words and we wrote them on the whiteboards.  Mrs Grelak was very impressed with our handwriting.






In PSHE our topic is 'Healthy Me' and we have been learning about healthy foods and how important exercise is for us.
We made our own healthy lunch boxes and coloured in all the healthy foods on an I Spy sheet.









We also had fun doing different exercises for 1 minute, resting for 1 minute then doing some more.







In PE we used the large apparatus to practice balancing, jumping and rolling.

Trip to the Farm Park

We fed the very greedy goats! Their tongues tickled our hands which we found very funny! We climbed up to the top of the viewing tower so we could see the whole farm park. We could see for miles too.   After lunch  we played a game where we had to sort the animals into those who lay eggs and those who don't.  We were very good at this. We went exploring in the discovery barn where we stroked a rabbit and saw lots of different animals. We also stroked the sheep who were very friendly! At the end of the day we went back onto the bus and travelled back to school.  We had an amazing day!

Sports Day and Forest School

We really enjoyed our first Sport's Day! We did lots of races including the sack, running, bean bag and hurdles.  Mr Thompson was very proud of us all.   We had lots of fun at Forest School searching for bugs. We even found a slow worm! We really enjoyed the balancing ropes and everyone was able to walk across without falling off.
