Chinese Day

Image
We had lots of fun on Chinese Day. We had a party in the hall and we ate sweet and sour vegetables with egg noodles and prawn crackers. Everyone tried it and some children thought it was absolutely delicious! We had lots of fun dancing to Chinese ribbon dancing music. We were very excited when a Chinese red dragon came to visit us! We practised writing sentences about our favourite Chinese food. We had fun using chop sticks and trying to pick up small objects with them. It was very tricky! We made red money envelopes  and put some money in them for good luck. We practised  some Chinese writing too.  In the Creative Area we made Chinese lanterns. We also wrote a Chinese Menu with all the food we were going to eat at our Chinese Party.

Forest School Week 4

Image
This was our last week at Forest School so we had to gather sticks to make a camp fire. Then we toasted marshmallows on the fire and ate them. They were delicious! Afterwards we went off and made our own dens, trains, cars and schools! The train went all the way to Poland and back!
