This week in Maths we have been adding 2 groups together. We played the bean bag game throwing the bean bags into the hoop. We counted how many landed inside the hoop and how many were outside the hoop and added the 2 groups together.   It was lots of fun! We also had a challenge of putting all the numbers on the number square as Mrs Grelak wanted to know if we had all the numbers.  She was very impressed with how well we worked together and in the end we did have all the numbers! This week we have been learning about recycling and how important it is to protect our environment. We went on a litter pick round our school. We divided all the rubbish into recycling, compostable and general rubbish.  We loved using the litter grabbers and we found lots of rubbish around the school in the bushes too. This week has been Children's Mental Health Week. We have been doing lots of fun activities to help us think about how we can look after our mental health. We have been doing daily yoga and meditation sessions which we have really enjoyed. Each class has been given a Calm Box filled with exciting toys to help us with our breathing and affirmation cards and daily mantras which we read each day to help us feel positive.  We also made our own windmills which turn when we blow them. The Year 3 children shared their books with us and we enjoyed listening to the stories.

We have been painting pictures of our own houses too.  We took great care to look at the picture of our house before drawing it and then painting it. In PE we have been learning how to do a pencil jump from the bench.  We had to walk along the bench first and Mr Thompson was very impressed with our balancing and our p
