Planting Bulbs

Image
We had fun this week painting and decorating clay pots ready for planting our daffodil bulbs. The clay pots and daffodil bulbs were kindly gifted to the school by Twyford Garden Centre. Then we planted a daffodil bulb into our pots and gave it some water.   We sequenced the pictures and sounded out some of the words on our own.

As part of our topic on 'Celebrations' we have been learning all about Divali this week. We  enjoyed colouring in  rangoli patterns and we learned how to make them symmetrical.  We also made a giant rangoli pattern using glitter. We also made firework pictures using paint and marbles. When we rolled the marbles over the paint they  mixed the colours together to create amazing fireworks! On Friday we had a Divali Party in the hall. We tried some Indian food, dressed up in Indian costume and danced to Indian music. We had lots of fun.
