Last Week of Forest School

Image
This was our last week at Forest School and we had fun making homes for all the Forest School animals: Bertie Badger, Harry Hedgehog, Freddie Fox and Olly Owl. Freddie the Fox is watching TV! We also had fun playing in the mud kitchen and painting the trees! We used a flint and steel to light some cotton wool in the fire pit.  We enjoyed banging on our drumsticks and singing 'Let It Be' at the top of our voices!

On Tuesday it was Math's Day and we had lot of fun doing different Math's activities.  We have been learning to count in tens so we made a counting in tens number line worm! We made 2D shape pictures inspired by the artist Paul Klee's painting 'Castle and the Sun'. In the afternoon we played board games the Year 3 children had made. They were great fun! This week we have been making maps of our route to school. We also programmed Beebot to follow a route on the map.   We were very good at thinking of the instructions before we programmed it. We had lots of fun at Sport's Day and we cheered for all our friends. At Forest School this week we enjoyed playing in the mud kitchen, making magic potions and making homes for the forest school animals.

We had Round Robin's Sports Day this week and we had lots of fun taking part in all the activities on the field. Some of the children in RG won rosettes as their teams came first, second and third. At Forest School we went on a Bear Hunt! Then we made our own dens for the bear and he tried each one to see which was his favourite.   He loved all of them!!
