Diwali

 As part of our topic on 'Celebrations' we have been learning all about Divali this week.

We  enjoyed colouring in  rangoli patterns and we learned how to make them symmetrical. 

We also made a giant rangoli pattern using glitter.

















We also made firework pictures using paint and marbles. When we rolled the marbles over the paint they  mixed the colours together to create amazing fireworks!








On Friday we had a Divali Party in the hall. We tried some Indian food, dressed up in Indian costume and danced to Indian music. We had lots of fun.

We really enjoyed our first Sport's Day! We did lots of races including the sack, running, bean bag and hurdles.  Mr Thompson was very proud of us all.   We had lots of fun at Forest School searching for bugs. We even found a slow worm! We really enjoyed the balancing ropes and everyone was able to walk across without falling off.

Pet Day

We had a wonderful time at Pet Day meeting all the children's pets. We had dogs, tortoises, snails and a cat. They were all very friendly and we enjoyed learning all about how to look after them.

Trip to the Farm Park

We fed the very greedy goats! Their tongues tickled our hands which we found very funny! We climbed up to the top of the viewing tower so we could see the whole farm park. We could see for miles too.   After lunch  we played a game where we had to sort the animals into those who lay eggs and those who don't.  We were very good at this. We went exploring in the discovery barn where we stroked a rabbit and saw lots of different animals. We also stroked the sheep who were very friendly! At the end of the day we went back onto the bus and travelled back to school.  We had an amazing day!
