This Week in RG

In Outdoor learning this week we went onto the playground and made a map of all the things we saw as we walked around the playground.  When we went back into the classroom we coloured in our maps and we presented them to the rest of the class.  We were able to describe them in great detail to our friends.

In ICT we programmed the Beebots to follow the map of the playground too.

Our topic this half term is Houses and Homes and on Thursday we went for a walk to look at different types of houses we could see near to our school.  We found a bungalow, semi-detached houses, detached houses, terraced houses, flats and a cottage.  We even saw a caravan in someone's garden.

We have been painting pictures of our own houses too.  We took great care to look at the picture of our house before drawing it and then painting it.

In PE we have been learning how to do a pencil jump from the bench.  We had to walk along the bench first and Mr Thompson was very impressed with our balancing and our pencil jumps.
