This Week in RG

Our new topic this half term is all about  'Animals' and we have been making camouflage pictures of animals.  They look amazing and you can't see the animals as they are so well camouflaged!







 





Our new Pet Shop and Jungle have opened in the role play areas and we have been busy making homes for animals with junk modelling materials in the Creative Area.







When the sun came out we went outside and had fun finding shadows! We chased our own shadow then we drew round our friends shadow with chalks.  We also drew round some animals shadows.











Artbase came to school to do some artwork with us.  They showed us how to hold the paintbrush correctly and how to make brush strokes on the paper. We did some colour mixing and made some patterns using the other end of the paintbrush!  It was lots of fun.

Sports Day and Forest School

We really enjoyed our first Sport's Day! We did lots of races including the sack, running, bean bag and hurdles.  Mr Thompson was very proud of us all.   We had lots of fun at Forest School searching for bugs. We even found a slow worm! We really enjoyed the balancing ropes and everyone was able to walk across without falling off.

Trip to the Farm Park

We fed the very greedy goats! Their tongues tickled our hands which we found very funny! We climbed up to the top of the viewing tower so we could see the whole farm park. We could see for miles too.   After lunch  we played a game where we had to sort the animals into those who lay eggs and those who don't.  We were very good at this. We went exploring in the discovery barn where we stroked a rabbit and saw lots of different animals. We also stroked the sheep who were very friendly! At the end of the day we went back onto the bus and travelled back to school.  We had an amazing day!
