Reception - RG

This week we have been reading 'The Colour Monster'  by Anna Llenas and talking about our feelings and emotions.  We have had lots of fun creating the different colour monsters with paint, tissue and crayons.    We learned four letters and their sounds this week (s,a,t,p)  and we have been practising writing them in the sand and on paper. We are trying very hard to remember holding our pencil with our froggy fingers! In PE we had lots of fun with the parachute - the best part was running underneath it! We have had lots of fun in the atrium playing with the different activities and sharing and taking turns with our friend's.

We have had lots of fun making new friends and playing with all the different activities in the classroom.  We have also enjoyed playing in the atrium and outside.   We really enjoy PE with Mr Thompson and he is very impressed with our listening skills when we  play games in the hall. Our topic this half term is Nursery Rhymes so we have made humpty dumpty puppets, incy wincy spiders and cog prints from Hickory Dickory Dock.

 This was our last week at Forest School and we had fun making homes for all the Forest School animals: Bertie Badger, Harry Hedgehog, Freddie Fox and Olly Owl. Freddie the Fox is watching TV! We also had fun playing in the mud kitchen and painting the trees! We used a flint and steel to light some cotton wool in the fire pit.  We enjoyed banging on our drumsticks and singing 'Let It Be' at the top of our voices!
