Reception - RG

In phonics this week we have been learning the  ar, oo, ur and or sounds.  We had fun finding the words on a word hunt,  reading real and alien words and writing words on our white boards.  In Maths we played shops,  counting out the coins to buy the animals. We also enjoy completing the weekly Maths Challenge in the Maths Area. In ICT we have been learning how to program the beebots called Betty and Bob. It is lots of fun! In PE we have been learning how to do a pencil roll. We were very good at them! In Music this week we were dancing and playing musical instruments to a South African Lullaby called Thula Baba.  We were very good at playing them in time with the beat.  

On Monday we had a visit from Charlotte and Benny the dog from the Dog's Trust. We listened very carefully and learned how to stay safe around dogs we don't know.   On Tuesday we were busy baking and decorating our Christmas biscuits ready to sell at our Enterprise Sale on Wednesday.  They looked delicious! On Wednesday we made party hats and went into the hall for our Christmas lunch. It was delicious! On Thursday it was party day and we had lots of fun dancing in the hall and playing pass the parcel.
