This Week in RG

In phonics this week we have been learning the  ar, oo, ur and or sounds.  We had fun finding the words on a word hunt,  reading real and alien words and writing words on our white boards. 











In Maths we played shops,  counting out the coins to buy the animals.




We also enjoy completing the weekly Maths Challenge in the Maths Area.



In ICT we have been learning how to program the beebots called Betty and Bob. It is lots of fun!





In PE we have been learning how to do a pencil roll. We were very good at them!








In Music this week we were dancing and playing musical instruments to a South African Lullaby called Thula Baba.  We were very good at playing them in time with the beat.

Sports Day and Forest School

We really enjoyed our first Sport's Day! We did lots of races including the sack, running, bean bag and hurdles.  Mr Thompson was very proud of us all.   We had lots of fun at Forest School searching for bugs. We even found a slow worm! We really enjoyed the balancing ropes and everyone was able to walk across without falling off.

Trip to the Farm Park

We fed the very greedy goats! Their tongues tickled our hands which we found very funny! We climbed up to the top of the viewing tower so we could see the whole farm park. We could see for miles too.   After lunch  we played a game where we had to sort the animals into those who lay eggs and those who don't.  We were very good at this. We went exploring in the discovery barn where we stroked a rabbit and saw lots of different animals. We also stroked the sheep who were very friendly! At the end of the day we went back onto the bus and travelled back to school.  We had an amazing day!
