This Week in RG

This week we have been learning to take away and we have been using the story Room on the Broom  by Julia Donaldson to help us learn how to take away.

We read the story and pretended that the animals fell off the broomstick one by one!

We enjoyed this take away story!






We also made a witches potion and counted out all the gooey ingredients to add to the cauldron!




We enjoyed listening to the story and using the finger puppets to act out the story.





We went on a witch hat hunt to find out all the answers to the sums.  It was lots of fun!




We took part in Planting Week at school and we enjoyed planting lots of plants  to make our school look beautiful throughout the summer.








We also enjoyed our book of the week Handa's Surprise and we had lots of fun acting out the story.

We really enjoyed our first Sport's Day! We did lots of races including the sack, running, bean bag and hurdles.  Mr Thompson was very proud of us all.   We had lots of fun at Forest School searching for bugs. We even found a slow worm! We really enjoyed the balancing ropes and everyone was able to walk across without falling off.

Pet Day

We had a wonderful time at Pet Day meeting all the children's pets. We had dogs, tortoises, snails and a cat. They were all very friendly and we enjoyed learning all about how to look after them.
