This Week in RG

This week we have been continuing our story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and we tasted different  fruit just like the caterpillar did.
We tried water melon, pineapple, strawberry, blueberry and mango.

We then chose our favourite fruit and made a pictogram on the iboard of our favourite fruit. The strawberry was the most popular fruit.

We made symmetrical butterflies. We were fascinated when we opened out our butterfly to reveal its beautiful symmetrical wings.

We did some apple printing and made our own hungry caterpillar.

In Maths we have been learning about things that float and sink.  We predicted which objects would float and which would sink before we tested them in the water.

Our predictions were mostly right. We even predicted that the grapefruit would float and it did! Even Mrs Grelak was amazed!

On Friday it was Red Nose Day and we all came to school dressed in something red.
We enjoyed making our own red noses and some of  our designs were very funny and clever.
